A cottage at Sandringham Estate, the 20,000-acre private residence of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family, is available to rent on Norfolk Hideaways.

Although the Queen might not have stayed at the rental, it is the nearest property on the estate to Sandringham House (where she actually resided) and was formerly her head gardener’s home. Plus, this isn’t the first time that a property adjacent to Queen Elizabeth II’s residence has been available for a royal rental experience.

The cottage, called Garden House, features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a sitting room with an open fire, and a breakfast room with views of the surrounding countryside. Meanwhile, the decor is quite unique, as all the furniture and pictures were all sourced from the Royal Collection.

As you might expect from a property called the Garden House, it has lots of greenery, having a walled garden, as well as an informal one where your dogs can run around and play. The listing describes the place as, “an appreciation of the great outdoors,” with the gardens being, “a sheer delight and provide a superb setting for this idyllic house.”

Nearby, there are plenty of attractions, such as the 200-hectare Country Park, the Sandringham Exhibition & Transport Museum, and the historic St. Mary Magdalene Church. Just a short drive away are Norfolk’s beaches, poppy-rich meadows, and English villages with pubs and duck ponds. Guests are also recommended to take a sip at the Sandringham Café & Coffee Shop and try their locally sourced menu.

If you’re a traveler looking to get the royal treatment, a stay at the Garden House is £354 (about $409) per night. You can learn more about the rental on Norfolk Hideaways.
